The Art of Thinking Through Making
Axis emerged directly from an apprenticeship — months of close, hands-on learning between master artisans and emerging makers within Mash.T Studio. Rather than starting with a fixed outcome, the collection took shape through the process of learning itself.
At Mash.T, apprenticeship extends beyond technical skill. It is about developing a way of thinking, observing, and working with intention. In this environment, embarrassment becomes the cost of entry, and failure is recognised as a necessary step toward audacity and mastery.
The resulting pieces highlight transferability as a core design value — audacious design, honest making, and design systems built to endure.
